Data Policy
This page explains what information Core Control Unit handles, why it is used, what is stored in your browser, and how you can exercise your rights.
Data we may process
Depending on how you use the service, we may process the following information:
- Your name, email address, account information, and contact details.
- Information submitted through contact, project, quote, order, and data-rights forms.
- Customer portal information, including projects, messages, files, quotes, book orders, billing details, and profile information when you use those features.
- Comments you submit to public blog posts and technical information used to limit abuse.
- Authentication records and technical information needed to protect accounts, forms, and the service.
- Your privacy choice and, with your permission, your theme preference.
Why we process it
- Provide the service you request and operate the customer portal.
- Authenticate users and protect accounts.
- Reply to contact, project, quote, order, and data-rights requests.
- Moderate blog comments, prevent abuse, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.
- Remember optional preferences when you allow optional services.
- Meet applicable administrative, accounting, and legal obligations.
Legal bases
The legal basis depends on the context:
- Steps you ask us to take before a contract and performance of contracts for services and the customer portal.
- Legitimate interests in answering requests, securing the service, and preventing abuse, balanced against your rights.
- Your consent for optional browser storage and Google reCAPTCHA.
- Legal obligations where the law requires records to be kept or supplied.
Browser storage and cookies
Necessary storage works independently of your choice. Optional storage and Google reCAPTCHA are used only after you allow optional services. reCAPTCHA is loaded only when it is configured and a protected form needs it.
| Name | Storage type | Purpose | Lifetime | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ccunit_session | Cookie | Keeps you signed in to the customer portal. | Session cookie. The related session expires after 24 hours, or after 30 days when Remember me is selected. | Core Control Unit |
| ccunit_pending_magic | Cookie | Temporary token used after opening a sign-in link received by email to complete authentication. | 10 minutes | Core Control Unit |
| ccunit_cookie_consent | Cookie | Records your privacy choice for optional services. | 180 days | Core Control Unit |
| ccunit-theme | Local storage | Theme preference stored locally in your browser when optional services are allowed. | Until you remove it, change your choice, or refuse optional services. | Core Control Unit |
| _GRECAPTCHA | Third-party cookie | Third-party item used only when Google reCAPTCHA is configured, optional services are allowed, and a protected form is used. | Set by Google when reCAPTCHA is loaded. Its duration is controlled by Google. | Google reCAPTCHA |
Refusing optional services does not remove the authentication storage needed to sign in. It removes ccunit-theme from local storage and prevents optional services from loading.
Third-party services
The site is hosted by Vercel and Cloudflare. Google reCAPTCHA is loaded on protected forms only when it is configured and you have allowed optional services. These providers may process technical connection information under their own terms. This implementation does not use advertising or behavioral analytics.
Retention
The storage table gives the periods defined by the application. Other account, portal, form, comment, file, message, order, billing, and administrative records are retained only for as long as needed for the service, security, handling your request, and applicable legal obligations. This page does not assign a fixed period where the application does not define one.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable rules and circumstances, you may request:
- Access to your personal data.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure of data when the conditions are met.
- Restriction of processing.
- Data portability where applicable.
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdrawal of consent at any time for optional services, without affecting earlier processing.
Changing your privacy choices
Use Privacy preferences in the footer to allow or refuse optional services at any time. Necessary authentication storage remains active. Refusing removes ccunit-theme from local storage and prevents Google reCAPTCHA from loading.
